How VisaJobs.ie works

A normal job board takes an employer's word for it. We check sponsorship against the government's own record, then show you what that record actually says.

01

Search with sponsor status built in

Every listing is checked against 8 years of government permit records, so you know who actually sponsors visas before you apply, not after you've already invested time in an application.

02

Check the employer's track record

Open any company page to see their full permit history: how many they've filed, which years, and whether the count is growing or slowing down. That trend tells you more than a single number ever could.

03

Apply and track it in one place

Save jobs, log applications, and move them through interview and offer stages from a single tracker, instead of losing the thread across email threads and spreadsheets.

Step 02, live right now, not a mockup:

Where the data comes from

204,612 employment permit records issued by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, covering 22,800+ employers across 46 sectors, 26 counties, and 142 nationalities. It is the same public register you could look up yourself; we just do the matching and the trend math so you do not have to, across 4,500+ live listings.

VisaJobs.ie vs a normal job board

Sponsorship status

VisaJobs.ie: Checked against the government permit register before it ever reaches you.

Elsewhere: Taken on the employer's word, if it's mentioned at all.

Track record

VisaJobs.ie: Full history: how many permits, which years, growing or slowing down.

Elsewhere: No visibility beyond the single listing you're reading.

Application status

VisaJobs.ie: A tracker that reflects real employer decisions, not silence.

Elsewhere: Applied, then nothing, until you give up wondering.

Common questions

Where does the permit data actually come from?

Ireland's Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment publishes every approved employment permit. We pull it directly and refresh it on a schedule, not a one-off import.

Does a permit history guarantee I'll get sponsored?

No. It tells you the employer has sponsored before, which is the strongest public signal available, but every application still depends on the role, your eligibility, and the employer's decision.

What if a company isn't in the register?

Some employers sponsor for the first time, or the role you're looking at doesn't need one. A missing history is shown as such rather than hidden or guessed at.

Is the job actually posted by the employer, or scraped?

Both, labelled honestly. Employer-posted roles carry a Verified badge tied to their permit record; scraped listings link out to the original source.

Does using the tracker cost anything?

No. Search, permit history, and the application tracker are all free for candidates.
