Where Our Data Comes From
VisaJobs Ireland combines a few different data sources. Some of it is official government data, some of it is aggregated from public job postings. Here is exactly which is which, so you know what to trust for what.
Employment Permit Statistics
The numbers behind our companies, counties, sectors, and nationalities pages, including which companies have sponsored employment permits, how many, and in what occupations, come from Ireland's official Employment Permits register, published by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE).
This is a government dataset of permits that have actually been granted, it is not a survey or an estimate. We process and present it, we don't alter the underlying figures.
Job Listings
Listings on the jobs board are aggregated from public job boards and applicant tracking systems, including Indeed, LinkedIn, Jobs.ie, IrishJobs.ie, and ATS platforms such as Greenhouse and Workday, plus postings employers add directly to VisaJobs.
These are third-party postings, not government data. We surface what is publicly listed as visa-sponsorship-friendly, but we don't independently verify every posting's sponsorship claim before it appears, and a listing can go stale or get taken down at the source without us knowing immediately. If a listing looks off or outdated, treat the original posting as the source of truth, not our summary of it.
Processing Times
The processing dates referenced on our guides pages come from DETE's own published processing dates for each employment permit type, updated on their schedule, not ours.
Processing times fluctuate with application volume and can change week to week. Always check enterprise.gov.ie directly if a decision date matters for something time-sensitive.
