VisaJobs Ireland ("we", "us") operates visajobs.ie, a website that aggregates Irish employment permit data published by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, and job listings from third-party sources. Our registered contact email is hello@visajobs.ie.

What data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data — email address and password hash when you create an account.
  • Saved preferences — jobs and companies you save, application tracker entries, cover letters you generate.
  • Search queries — anonymised search terms and filter selections to improve relevance.
  • Usage analytics — page views, device type, and referrer via Vercel Analytics (no cookies, IP-anonymised).
  • Authentication cookies — session tokens stored in secure, HTTP-only cookies to keep you signed in.

How we use your data

  • To provide and personalise the service (saved jobs, tracker, AI writer).
  • To authenticate your sessions.
  • To improve search results and surface relevant listings.
  • To monitor site performance and fix errors.

We do not sell your data. We do not serve third-party advertising.

Account data is stored in a Supabase-managed PostgreSQL database. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

Third-party services

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
  • Vercel — website hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring.
  • Sanity — blog content management.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies and GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission.
